▷ First Impressions ▶ VISUAL: Matt dresses nicely, generally in suit and tie for work. Around others, he moves with a certain confident care - Matt's blind. You might spot him with his cane if he's on the street, or he may just trail fingers along walls as he moves in familiar spaces. It's not uncommon for him to sport a visible bruise or cut or two, in any various stage of healing. ▶ AURAL: Matt has a relatively soft voice, even if it's one that can demand to be listened to. ▶ DEMEANOUR: Matt seems, on first meeting for most, a calmly compassionate man. He's also pragmatic. Matt is a defense lawyer, a profession he picked because he wants to help people, and he is quick to share both that information and that reasoning. Matt doesn't fill the air with empty chatter. He isn't a nervous talker. He's more likely to immediately voice any annoyances or moral misgivings rather than play along and keep the peace. Matt also isn't a very adept liar, even if he's not unlikely to go ahead and try it anyway, if it means waving off attempts at digging into anything going on with him personally.

▷ A Bit Deeper ▶ IF YOU KEEP TALKING: Matt is actually very adept at getting around on his own, despite being blind. This ties into the whole 'is secretly a superhero' deal. If your character knows his secret, they'll get to know a Matt who can move around - not just as well as 'anyone else', but as well as his own uniquely dialed-up senses allow him to feel the world around him. Even if your character doesn't know that side of him is attached to 'Matthew Murdock', but just meets 'the man in the mask'/Daredevil, they will meet a person who is a highly skilled fighter, an adept free-runner, and who can hear if you're lying from across the room based on your heartbeat.
